Motorola to Acquire Good Technology

Motorola, Inc. today announced that it have signed a definitive agreement under which Motorola will acquire privately held Good Technology, a leader in enterprise mobile computing software and service. Motorola has an existing business relationship with Good Technology using Good Mobile Messaging on the Motorola Q. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The acquisition, which is subject to regulatory and other customary conditions, is expected to close in early 2007.

Xerox Completes Acquisition of XMPie

Xerox Corporation has completed the previously announced acquisition of XMPie for $54 million, a move that further strengthens the growing trend of personalized communications and cross-media marketing campaigns involving digital printing, e-mail and customized Web sites. XMPie will keep the company’s headquarters in New York and its research and development facility in Netanya, Israel. Its more than 60 employees now join Xerox. The all-cash purchase of XMPie by Xerox Corporation was completed on Nov. 9.

Marvell to Finalize Buying of Intel’s Communications And Applications Processor Business

Marvell Technology Group, Ltd., the leader in storage, communications and consumer silicon solutions, today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Intel’s cellular and applications processor business. On June 27, 2006, Marvell announced that it agreed to purchase it for $600 million plus the assumption by Marvell of certain liabilities. With this acquisition, Marvell will design and market a family of processors (codenamed Monahans) for wireless and embedded applications.

Sybase Completes Acquisition of Mobile 365

Sybase, Inc., provider of enterprise infrastructure and mobile software, today announced that it completed the acquisition of Mobile 365, Inc. in an all-cash transaction valued at $417 million. Net of acquired cash, the transaction is valued at $397 million. Mobile 365 will now operate as Sybase 365, a wholly-owned subsidiary. Marty Beard, senior vice president of corporate development and marketing for Sybase, Inc., will lead the new subsidiary as president. The Sybase mFolio business will be integrated into Sybase 365 immediately, and certain assets of Sybase AvantGo will be integrated into Sybase 365 early in 2007.

Answers.com to buy Wiki-based Community Site FAQ Farm

Answers Corporation , creators of Answers.com  service, today announced the acquisition of FAQ Farm, a leading wiki-based website containing a content-rich, cross-disciplinary library of user-contributed questions and answers. The initial integration of FAQ Farm into Answers.com is expected to launch in Q1, 2007.

The acquisition was completed for $2 million in cash, representing a multiple of approximately five times revenue, based on unaudited numbers. Additional terms of the transaction will be included by Answers in its current report scheduled to be filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission later today.

SanDisk Corporation and msystems today announced that the shareholders of msystems have voted to approve the acquisition of msystems by SanDisk at a special shareholder meeting held today at msystems’ offices in Kfar Saba, Israel. More than 99% of the shares represented at the meeting voted in favor of the transaction.
